Britney Spears Announces Loss of Baby With Sam Asghari
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have revealed that they lost their “Miracle Baby” during her pregnancy.
In a joint Instagram post, Britney Spears shared the news with “deepest sadness.” Asghari told the post that the couple “will soon experience a miracle.”
“This is a devastating time for any parent,” the couple wrote. “Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however we were overly excited to shared the good news. Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.”
Spears made the pregnancy announcement when she shared on Instagram last month that she learned of her pregnancy during a trip with her fiancé on Maui. As she recalled, she thought it was “pregnant food,” but later discovered she was expecting another child. Spears is the mother of two boys she shares with former Kevin Federline — Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15. She met her fiancé in a music video in 2016.

“It’s hard because when I was pregnant I had perinatal depression,” the pop star previously wrote. “I have to say it is absolutely horrible 😔…women didn’t talk about it back then…some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her…but now women talk about it everyday…thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret 🤫 😬😬😬…This time I will be doing yoga 🧘♀️ every day!!! Spreading lots of joy and love 💕!!!”
