During the “Drink Champs” interview, the “Warm Embrace” singer revealed that he was approached about making Verzuz against the “New Flame” collaborator.
“They want me and Usher to do it,” Chris said. “It just makes sense, but it has to make more sense.”
While he was open to it, he would have liked to make sure it was less and more of a celebration than a competition. “I would love to congratulate him in his light as much as my belongings. I can’t pretend I’m not a pioneer either,” Chris said. “I think it would be a good thing for the fans, but it has to make sense for both of us.”

Although he respects Usher, he is overconfident in himself.
“I have Hella songs, that’s all I can sing. I have a lot of songs.
He also entertained the idea of opposing Drake after suggesting that N.O.R.E. would be “the best battle I could think of.” “That would be drugs,” Chris replied. “I’m not making a fuss with that… He has a catalog, and I bought one.”
Chris had previously hinted that he was in talks to make Verzuz. “I keep him a hundred. I’ve been talking to people so we can figure things out, but I’m not going to say anything yet. I’m not going to hype anyone up yet,” he told Big Boy.
However, he made it clear that nothing has been finalized yet. “The check was not cut, none of this was cut,” he said.
On Friday, Chris released his 10th studio album, Breezy, which features Jack Harlow, Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Bryson Tiller and Lil Baby. The project is expected to carry 60-70,000 units per week.
