Dababy Addresses Home Intruder Shooting This Week
DaBaby spoke for the first time after allegedly shooting an intruder during a home invasion.
Officers respond to a shooting at the rapper’s $2.3 million home in Troutman, North Carolina, on Wednesday, April 13, after a man reportedly broke into the property without permission. According to law enforcement, DaBaby exchanged words with the intruder and shot him in the leg when he failed. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby medical facility.
On Friday, DaBaby logged into his Instagram account to address the incident and apparently agreed to join in while claiming he was using restrictions against the home intruder.
“I chose not to shoot a n*gga life the other day and it felt great,” she wrote alongside a clip of Cam’ron from Paid in Full, alongside her character Rico’s “Nias get shot everyday.” You’re fine, nia.”
“My friend doesn’t deserve to go, I’m taking the right step,” DaBaby added, before warning the intruder not to return. “Get well and live my son! Just don’t bring your ass back.”

DaBaby Is Quite Angry With Officers
In a 911 call obtained by TMZ, the intruder can be heard screaming in pain, while DaBaby tells the officer he acted in self-defense.
“I shot him in the leg,” he said. “He’s trespassing on my property. … It was neutralized until you guys got here.”
DaBaby appeared to be standing next to the man and confirmed he was bleeding. When the officer asked if the shooting victim was “completely awake,” DaBaby said, “Don’t you hear this guy, brother?”
