Diddy Launches LOVE RECORDS
Sean “Diddy” Combs has his eye on the R&B music business with the launch of a new record label.
Today announced the launch of LOVE RECORDS, a new record label dedicated to releasing something other than R&B projects. LOVE RECORDS will specialize in R&B, singles and collaborative projects with various artists, producers and songwriters.
Diddy’s upcoming album will also be LOVE RECORDS’ debut album. The album will be a one-off partnership with Motown Records. So it will be in stores this summer.
“Music has always been my first love. LOVE RECORDS is the next chapter [and] is about getting back to the love and making the best music of my life,” Diddy explained. “For the label, I’m focused on creating timeless R&B music with the next generation of artists and producers. Motown is the perfect partner for my album, and I’m excited to add to its legacy.”
Diddy will also continue to run the legendary Bad Boy Entertainment label. The news came just after Diddy announced her stint at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.
Diddy Previews The Weeknd Collaboration
Looks like a new Diddy era is finally coming.
The hip-hop icon appears to have teased a brand new song featuring The Weeknd as part of a Beats by Dre commercial starring Kayvon Thibodeaux. Diddy arrives in the middle of a one-minute clip to share some empowering words that capture the NFL nominee’s story of perseverance and determination.
“I’m a man with ambitions to be the best I’ve ever been… Sometimes you have to go through the darkness to manifest,” Aabil raps before singing, “I don’t feel like it.”
The Weeknd’s vocals were first recorded during the Kiss Land era. In August 2020, apple music shared a demo version of the show “Memento Mori” called “Another One of Me” in the “Kiss Land” episode. Another version of the track with French Montana was leaked earlier this year.
