DDG released the video one day during the summer break. He played a prank on his girlfriend at the time and got millions of views on YouTube. DDG started making a lot of money and this inspired him to focus on his YouTube activity.
His activities on the platform gave birth to many similar youtube channels after him.
Increasing his career from YouTube content producer to rap musician, DDG continues his work without interruption. The rapper, who won the likes of millions of people with his videos, became one of the people with the highest income on the internet. After the release of “Givenchy” with 15 million views on YouTube in December 2017, he cemented his position as an aspiring hip hop artist. Drake has collaborated with many notable rappers such as TreOnTheBeat, Famous Dex, Zaytoven, Blac Youngsta and G Herbo.
As a child, he made music in the studio where his father was a sound engineer. His first music included a diss track by Lil Yachty called “Big Boat”. In 2016, DDG released two songs titled “Balenciagas” and “Free Parties”, both produced by Zaytoven. He also collaborated with Famous Dex for his song “Lettuce”. The track was originally posted on DDG’s YouTube channel and had 500,000 views within 1 hour, which prompted WorldstarHipHop to contact DDG to allow them to stream the video privately. On July 24, 2020, DDG released “Moonwalking in Calabasas”, which features two remixes, the first featuring Blueface and the second featuring YG. It became DDG’s first song to enter the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 82. The song was certified platinum on June 3, 2021. DDG released a collaborative mixtape with OG Parker, Die 4 Respect, on March 19, 2021. It peaked at number 61 on the Billboard 200.
