Doja Cat Could Make ‘Black Panther 2’ Soundtrack
Doja Cat and Stormzy are reportedly discussing possible collaboration for the ‘Black Panther 2’ soundtrack. It is also stated that The Weeknd and Solange are among the possibilities.
According to an industry expert, both Doja Cat and Stormzy are in talks about tracks for the Black Panther 2 soundtrack. Discussions about the writing of the pieces have reached a certain level.
As Metro UK reports, Marvel “finalized the storyline so have started courting artists to start writing songs with it in mind.” Groundbreaking artists Giveon and Brent Faiyaz are also said to be in touch with names like The Weeknd and Solange.
It is also rumored that the name Tory Lanez was also in this race before facing charges for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion in August last year.
High Probability Doja Cat Will Be Included In The Project
“Doja Cat is one of the artists who is in line to perform on the soundtrack because of her South African heritage. The Weeknd, Solange and Stormzy are also being considered as the producers want a wide range of smash hit artists to make this soundtrack bigger than the first,” said the unnamed source.

Kendrick Lamar previously executive produced the soundtrack for the 2018 movie Black Panther. Characters such as Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, The Weeknd and Travis Scott also took part in this production.

Also, Marvel Vice President of Development Nate Moore said that the character of T’Challa will not be updated following Chadwick Boseman’s death. A non-T’Challa story will be told.
Of course, there are also fans who want this character to be rearranged. According to TMZ, Boseman’s brother Derrick; “there’s so much power in seeing a Black king” on screen in terms of the effect it has on the “African-American youth”. By not recasting the character, Marvel is “depriving Black kids of a role model”.
