The “Kiss Me More” rapper was performing for free in Indianapolis on Saturday night (January 8), when the suspect tried to take the lead at the entrance line. According to the Metropolitan Police, he allegedly had a bomb or explosives. The crowd at Monument Circle was cleared within about 20 minutes as police assessed the situation.
“A fan wanted to advance in line so he exercised very poor judgment and those told him around him in line he had a bomb in his backpack,” Deputy Chief Joshua Barker told IndyStar. “Someone did the right thing and alerted IMPD. The backpack was clean. ”
Officers were called and the explosive device was not found at the scene. As police continued their investigation, the suspect was arrested on an unrelated and unpaid arrest warrant.
However, the horrific incident still shocked fans. A fan.
“I waited 4+ hours in real freezing rain so I could see @DojaCat performances,” she tweeted.
“We were right in front of the line and there was a bomb threat. I‘ve never been so scared. People were running and screaming everywhere. ”

The concert, which took place as part of the College Football Playoff national championship festivities, went ahead as planned. At one point, Doja stopped his set and took a break to break up a fight in the crowd.
