Doja Cat Has Most Nominations at BET Awards
Doja Cat awaits the BET Awards as the most nominated singer.
Doja enters the show as the lead candidate with six nominations. The chart-topping artist has nominations for best female R&B-pop artist, best female hip-hop artist, album of the year for #1 hit “Planet Her,” and BET Her for “Woman.” “Kiss Me More” with SZA was nominated for video of the year and best collaboration.
Taraji P. Henson will present the show at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is poised to receive one of the ceremony’s highest honors, the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Drake and Ari Lennox each received four nominations, making them the second most nominated after Doja. Among the artists are rappers such as Lil Wayne, Roddy Ricch, Lizzo.
Winners in 19 categories, including film and sports awards, will be selected by BET’s Voting Academy.

Doja Cat Undergoes Throat Surgery
Grammy award winner Doja Cat shared with her fans her process of undergoing throat surgery to remove the abscess.
According to AllHipHop.com, The Weeknd had to quit her tour because her tonsils were infected. She had surgery on her throat. But the problem turned out to be deeper.
Famous rapper explained to her fans, saying, “Hi guys, I wanted you to hear it from me first. Unfortunately, I have to have surgery on my tonsils asap. The surgery is routine but the recovery is going to take awhile due to swelling.”
“That means I have to cancel my festival run this summer as well as The Weeknd tour. I feel horrible about this but can’t wait for this to heal and get back to making music and create an experience for y’all.”
After the surgery, he shared another post where he can be seen rapping the lyrics to the song “Bottoms Up”.
