Down With the King is released on Stage 6 Films, owned by Sony Pictures.
Stage 6 Films has announced that it has acquired the international broadcast rights to the movie starring Freddie Gibbs.
Down With the King, starring Freddie Gibbs, had its first screening with ACID (Distribution of Independent Films), which was held in parallel with the Cannes Film Festival in the past weeks. Later, it was a matter of curiosity whether the film, which also won the grand prize at the Deauville American Film Festival, would be released. The film is expected to be released soon, as Stage 6 Films, owned by Sony Pictures, has acquired the international rights to Down With the King.
Directed by Diego Ongaro, the movie stars Freddie Gibbs, who has his first acting experience, as well as Jamie Neumann, David Krumholtz, Sharon Washington, Bob Tarasuk. Xabi Molia and Diego Ongaro wrote the script, which deals with the rap star Money Merc moving to a small settlement to find himself and reconsider his career after seeing the real side of the music industry and feeling the weight of being famous.
