Kendrick Lamar Releases ‘N95’
It’s ridiculously difficult. Kendrick Lamar, fresh out of the release of Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, provided the first image of the album for “N95”, which he co-directed with Dave Free.
“Hello new world, all boys and girls, I have some real stories to tell / You’re out, but they lied anyway,” says the pgLang founder, as he lifts up in the open scene over the ocean completely white.
In the epic clip that follows, Kendrick does push-ups in a rooftop in downtown Los Angeles and plays the piano on stage in a performance hall. A group of men make wheeled bikes with his cousin Baby Keem before chasing him through the streets.
Kendrick was spotted shooting scenes from the video in September 2020.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers was released Friday, which includes Summer Walker, Ghostface Killah, Baby Keem, Kodak Black, Sampha, Blxst and more. Her debut album in five years broke the record for the most first-day streams for an album released worldwide on Apple Music this year.
