First Trailer for Netflix’s Documentary on the Life of Pop Smoke is on the way
Netflix, which has documented the lives of many celebrities, is now working on the documentary of Brooklyn artist Pop Smoke.
On April 15, 2020, Pop Smoke’s manager Victor stated in an interview that he was on the way not only with the album but also with a documentary about Pop Smoke’s life. Keeping his word about the album, Victor released ‘Aim for The Moon’ on July 4, 2020, and ‘Faith’ on July 16 this year, in memory of Pop Smoke.
Speaking about his own goals in the same interview, Victor said, “I’m working on a documentary for him, too. And his foundation. I’m just really focused on making this label like the next Jimmy Iovine and Interscope.”
In an interview shortly before his death, Pop Smoke talked about the possibility of making his own documentary, saying, “I’m gonna put out a movie or a documentary,” he said at the time. “I’m gonna make that shit about me. Walk ’em through where I used to live, where I used to be at, and why they look at me the way they look. I’m gonna show you why they don’t like that—what they don’t like. Let’s see if you have the same feedback that they have. Let’s see if you would want me to be banned and want me to not perform. I doubt you will. All this good music being recorded , and you want to put it on hold? You don’t want people to hear it?”
We are also waiting for the documentary of the rapper’s life, who could not live his life to the fullest and could not fully show us his art and talent.
Netflix also released a documentary about Biggie, one of the important names in the rise of hip-hop in the USA. The movie, which was released on March 1, 2021, had a rating of 6.8 on IMDB.
