G-Eazy Pays Tribute To His Mother On New Song
G-Eazy honors his late mother in “Angel.”
The heartfelt piece, created by a close circle of friends, coincides with his first birthday since she passed away last fall. G-Eazy shares his pain as he grapples with the loss of his best friend.
“I can’t stop the bleeding, but I keep these holes / It’s just a front that people want to see,” she sings. “If they take the time to take a closer look, I suffer / Until I meet an angel who tells me he knows someone who looks just like me.”
G-Eazy Misses His Mother So Much
“Grief can be a difficult thing to navigate. It’s definitely not a linear process and it comes at you in waves,” G-Eazy said. “There will never be enough words to describe the feeling of losing your best friend, or the desire to see them again. In a literal sense, I tried to capture that feeling of longing in the lyrics of the song.”
He continued, “But ‘Angel’ is so much more than a song or a tribute. My mom was more than just my mom, she was everyone’s mom. She was everyone’s teacher. She was everyone’s inspiration. Nothing made her happier than loving people and sharing her creativity with the world. Her energy continues to live on through me, through those she connected with, and through those she inspired.”

G-Eazy Mourns Over His Mother’s Death
G-Eazy was shaken by his mother’s death. The famous rapper mourns the passing of his mother, announcing on Wednesday that his mother, Suzanne Olmsted, passed away.
G-Eazy, who is still in great shock, did not hesitate to dedicate his heart to her while mourning his mother’s death.
“The tears won’t stop. My eyes hurt, my face hurts, my body hurts, everywhere hurts, ”he wrote alongside a series of photos of his mother throughout the years. “There’s no safe place to hide and there’s no way to lay, sit, or stand that doesn’t hurt. The pain is enormous. But I know you’re out of yours and that brings me peace. I love you so much.”
He went on to acknowledge his mom’s inspiring “plight to survive and protect us against all odds.” “You were the definition of super-human,” he added. “What you went through, the pain you endured, and the impossible adversity you faced will stay with me forever, deeply engrained in the fibers of my identity and being. You will always be my biggest inspiration.”
While G-Eazy didn’t say how he died, he relied on his mother as the catalyst that led him to rehab due to alcohol and drugs.
