Gunna Beats The Weeknd on the Billboard 200
While everyone thought The Weeknd and “Dawn FM” would take the Billboard 200 crown, Gunna managed to mislead everyone.
On Monday, January 17, Billboard tweeted official numbers from MRC Data, revealing that Gunna and DS4Ever debuted at #1 for the second consecutive chart-topper after 2020’s Wunna.
“@1GunnaGunna’s ‘DS4Ever’ officially debuts at No. 1 on this week’s #Billboard200 chart with 150,300 equivalent album units, according to MRC Data,” the tweet read. “It earns him his second career No. 1 album, after ‘Wunna’ in 2020.”
19-track DS4Ever album released on January 7; 1 Savage stands out as a fantastic album featuring collaborations with Chris Brown, Future, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch and Young Thug. It seems certain that he will be at the summit for a while. Collaborations with very good artists also seem to have really worked.
DS4EVER was predicted to place 2nd by a very small margin this week.

About Gunna “DS4EVER” Album
DS4EVER is the third studio album by American rapper Gunna. It was released in January 2022 by YSL Records and 300 Entertainment. The album features guest stars from Future, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Drake, Kodak Black, Chlöe, Lil Baby, G Herbo, Nechie, Yung Bleu, Chris Brown and Roddy Ricch. It serves as the fourth and final episode of Gunna’s Drip Season series, following Drip Season 3, which aired in 2018.
DS4Ever debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 150,000 album-equivalent units, 4,000 of which were pure sales, becoming Gunna’s second number-one album.
Gunna released “Too Easy” with Future, an additional remix with Roddy Ricch. The music video for “Pushin P” featuring Future and Young Thug was captured on January 12.
On January 13, 2022, “P Power” was added to the album in collaboration with Drake.
In his next projects, Gunna will now make calculations of staying at the top. The rapper, who will try to continue his successful debut, seems to continue to make his fans happy.
