Gunna Reacts As “DS4Ever” Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard 200 Chart
Gunna reached number two on the Billboard 200 this week as he battled for the top spot with The Weeknd. Gunna peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart this week. Everyone‘s prediction turned out to be correct, predicting the couple in a close fight for the number one spot.
According to Billboard, DS4Ever debuted at number one with 150,300 equivalent album units in the U. S. The Canadian singer-songwriter came in second place with 148,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending January 13th.
According to MRC Data, Gunna‘s 150K came almost entirely from streaming activity (144,600 streaming equivalent albums) and entered its best week ever in terms of units earned. 4,700 album sales and 1,000 equivalent album units.
Top 10 Success
This marks Gunna‘s second top-of-the-list effort behind Wunna and fourth overall top-10 success. The Atlanta native first topped the Billboard chart in May 2020 with his second studio album Wunna, and all three projects from Gunna‘s Drop Season mixtape series made the top 10 in previous years.

This is Gunna’s second number one album. Last year’s Wunna also took the top spot and is his fourth project to land somewhere in the top 10 spot. The Weeknd’s, Dawn FM is potentially the second LP in what he has identified as a “New trilogy” of releases, the last of which—House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence—built up the Canadian’s fanbase back in 2011.
Only time will tell when and what fans can expect from the apparently inevitable third release in the After Hours/Dawn FM story.
