Iggy Azalea Reveals New Photo Of Son Onyx

Iggy Azalea’ s son is growing up fast.

The “fancy” rapper had kept his son with Playboi Carti out of the spotlight by now, but on Wednesday she shared a cute new photo of her baby boy with her Instagram followers. Onyx, who turns 2 in April, smiles as she shows off her curly hair head as she poses for a passport photo.

Iggy also shared her own passport photo with Onyx. “Only two models took our passport photos,” she wrote.

In June 2020, Iggy announced that she was having a son. “I have a son,” she told her fans. “I waited for the right time to say something, but I realized that the more time passes, the more anxious I’ll always feel to share that huge news with the world.”

Onyx is a tribute to Ametyst, Iggy’s birth name. Both are quartz species.
“Onyx is a protective gemstone that can clean energy. It protects and empowers from negativity,” Iggy explained, adding, “Before my son was even born, he changed me in all these ways just by changing my perspective.”

In October 2020, Iggy announced her split from Playboi Carti, who she began dating in late 2018. “I’m raising my son alone and I’m not in a relationship,” she tweeted.

Last year, Iggy announced she was taking a break from music after releasing the album The End of an Era. He plans to explore other creative projects “beyond music.”
