Isaiah Rashad Acknowledges Sex Tape Leak During Coachella
Isaiah Rashad had a strong moment at Coachella.
The TDE rapper, who made his debut in the festival’s Sahara tent on Saturday (April 16th), opened his set with a video montage addressing speculation about his sexuality. The clip featured audio bites from interviews with Joe Budden, Boosie and The Game, all focusing on a leaked video showing Rashad being intimate with other men. But even though it was an attempt to damage his career, it backfired and support poured in.
“The purpose of doing this was to embarrass him. However, it backfired,” said one voice, while Game said, “Why are you still worried about what another man is doing?”

Rashad then continued his performances with hits such as “RIP Young” and “Headshots (4r Da Locals)”. He also took out his TDE tag companion Doechii for “Wat U Sed” and “Crazy”, while SiR joined him for “Rope // rosegold”. At one point, she appeared to shed a tear as she sang “Wat’s Wrong.”

An emotional Rashad told the Coachella crowd that fan support had been a lifeline for him. “I see all the messages and all the positivity,” he said, to swells of cheers. “Y’all kept me alive these last couple months.”
The 30-year-old Rashad then played a typically incendiary set, featuring songs off his well-regarded 2021 LP “The House Is Burning” such as “RIP Young” and “Lay Wit Ya,” and “Rope // Rosegold,” from 2016’s “The Sun’s Tirade.”
Later in the show he was joined onstage by the buzzy new TDE signee Doechii for “Wat U Sed.”
