Jada Pinkett Smith Hopes Her Husband and Chris Rock Reconcile
Jada Pinkett Smith looks hopeful that Will Smith and Chris Rock can reconcile after all that has happened.
At the ceremony on March 27, Will Smith took the stage and slapped comedian Rock. On the last episode of “Red Table Talk”, Jada spoke about the incident, saying it was her “deepest hope” for the two to come together to recover.
“This is a really important ‘Red Table Talk’ on alopecia. Considering what I’ve been through with my own health and what happened at the Oscars, thousands have reached out to me with their stories. I’m using this moment to give our alopecia family an opportunity to talk about what it’s like to have this condition and to inform people about what alopecia actually is,” Jada stated.
“Now about Oscar night: my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out, and reconcile. The state of the world today, we need them both and we all actually need one another more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening.”
Smith apologized to Academy members and colleagues during his acceptance speech for the Best Actor award at the gilm event. She later resigned from the Academy. He was banned from participating in the Oscar awards for 10 years.
“They don’t talk about it because there is so much shame around it… people don’t understand what alopecia is,” Jada added.
Jada Pinkett Says She Never Wanted To Marry Will Smith
Every day we see a different news about the partnership of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett. The situation is getting more and more complex.
According to hiphopdx, an old clip from Pinkett’s Facebook show, Red Table Talk, has recently resurfaced. This increased the doubts about the continuation of their union.
“Being a young actress, being young, and I was just, like, pregnant. And I just didn’t know what to do,” she said at the time. We only got married because Gammy [Pinket”s mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris] was crying.”
Banfield-Norris “Jada was sick, she was very unpleasant … She didn’t cooperate with anything.” she said.
