Jay-Z And Dame Dash Reach Settlement
Jay-Z and Dame Dash settled a argument over Hov’s classic.
AllHipHop has captured some court information. According to these documents, the two agreed that no individual shareholders of Roc-A-Fella Records should issue an irrevocable token of the album. TMZ reported the deal.
Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella sued Dame Dash over an attempt to sell Reasonable Doubt NFT a year ago.
“Unless duly authorized by RAF, Inc., no shareholder or member of RAF, Inc. may alter in any way, sell, assign, pledge, encumber, contract with regard to, or in any way dispose of any property interest in Reasonable Doubt, including its copyright and including through any means such as auctioning a non-fungible token reflecting, referring, or directing to such interest,” the joint stipulation read. “Provided, however, that nothing in this Judgment shall prevent any shareholder or member of RAF, Inc. from selling, assigning, pledging, encumbering, contracting with regard to, or in any way disposing of their one-third (1/3rd) ownership interest in RAF, Inc.”

Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella denied all allegations against Dame Dash. Both parties agreed to cover their own expenses.
In early 2022, attorney Alex Spiro briefed the court on the settlement discussions.
The case hit a stalemate in May. A month later, Jay-Z and his former business partner settled their legal dispute.
Jay Z Fights Legal Battle Against Damon Dash
Jay-Z and Damon Dash clash over the rights to Reasonable Doubt.
Legal strife rages between the former founders of Roc-A-Fella Records. Damon claims to own 1/3 of the album along with Jay-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke. He tried to sell the rights in June of 2021. Meanwhile, Jay Z stepped in. Jay and his lawyers stopped the auction. He filed a lawsuit against Damon Dash.
According to AllHipHop, the famous rapper and legal team own and control Damon’s only Reasonable Doubt entity, RAF, Inc. They claimed to be shareholders of the company. They argued that Damon had no right to sell the company’s assets. However, the negotiations remained inconclusive.
