Grammy award-winning rappers Kanye West and Drake came together at the sold-out “Free Larry Hoover” charity concert, ending their long quarrel and taking the stage for the first time. According to People magazine, the concert took place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Thursday night,and many people attended those who couldn’t watch it were free on Amazon Prime. (even us).
While the fans at the concert were singing Kanye West‘s “Ultralight Beam” together, Drake and Kanye walked side by side on the steps of the coliseum. Kanye West took the stage with “Praise God“. He then took us all back to the old days by singing old classics like ‘Gold Digger‘,’Touch the Sky‘,’Stronger‘ and ‘All of the Lights‘. We all needed it.
While they were singing their songs to their fans at the event, the videos of the duo were circulating on social media in the background. It was then that Drake then took the stage to perform some of his biggest hits like ‘No Friends in the Industry‘, ‘Life Is Good‘, ‘IMY2‘ and ‘Laugh Now Cry Later‘.
Drake said that;
“I appreciate Kanye for having me up here tonight,”
“It’s important that we make this happen. When we were walking through the arches right there it felt like a dream. It felt surreal. It was something I always wanted to do being on stage with my idol as he’s running through one of the best catalogs in music, period.”
To match the event, Kanye West wore matching jeans and sang his song with The Weeknd, “Hurricane” and “Come to Life”, together with Drake. Also, ‘Bound 2’, ‘N–s in Paris’ and ‘Father Stretch My Hands Pt. one’. they sang.
Finally, the concert ended with both singers singing Drake’s song “Forever” together. Later, the two hugged each other and walked backstage together from the concert.
