Kanye West’s Donda’s Producer Reveals Main Truth Behind The Album’s Success
Kanye West‘s Donda album producer Mike Dean has opened up about the main truth behind the album’s reaching world success and revealed how Kanye West acted during the recording process of the album.
The American rapper Kanye West gained his notoriety as a producer in the early 2000s. Revealing at the time that he wants to pursue a solo career as a rapper, Kanye West unleashed his debut solo studio album in 2004, titled The College Dropout. After all, West added several albums to his career and reached ten albums in total.
Recently, while it’s been more than a week that Kanye West released his massive tenth studio album Donda, new details about the album are coming out day by day. In a recent conversation with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, it was revealed by the producer of the album that what West did to prepare the album for its release.
When the interviewer asked him what it was like to be part of the album’s reaching huge success, the producer said: “It was interesting. It was grueling, lots of hours, lots of changes. Yeah. Came out great though.”
Producer Says Each Listening Party Of Kanye West Was Like A Test

In the continuation of his words, the producer has touched on the listening parties of the album. He stated that those parties were like a kind of test to measure the album and its sound.
“For this album, it was… I mean, Kanye had three listening parties,” the producer admits. “So each listening party was like a test kind of. And after each one, I think he wanted… I can’t talk too much about his process.
“He took all the information he got from everyone, including online reviews, personal friends’ reviews, and [he’d] just kind of digest it all and adjust the album the way he wants.”

Releasing Donda on August 29, 2021, Kanye West broke countless records with the album. Recently, it was reported that Kanye West‘s Donda debuted number one on Billboard 200 in the biggest week for Any Album in 2021.
Adding the newest successes to his career with Donda, Kanye West sold more than 520,000 copies in the first week of the album. Also, his album Donda hit 775m+ streams.
As some of you might remember, Donda had ranked number one in Apple Music history just 10 hours after it was released.
