Kim Kardashian Declared Legally Single Amid Kanye West Divorce
Kim Kardashian is officially a single woman. On Wednesday, a Los Angeles judge declared the Skims mogul legally single and ended her marriage to Kanye West altogest. She’s made The West a name, and she’s going back to being Kim Kardashian.
Kim appeared for a video call at Wednesday’s court hearing, but Ye was absent. Kanye‘s lawyer did not object to Kim‘s single status being reinstated. Questions regarding child custody and financial assets will be discussed at a later date.
At a hearing in L.A. Superior Court, the judge granted one of three preconditions for west’s lawyers to receive a refund if both died. However, two other requests were denied, including restrictions on what would happen if Kim remarried. West and his team did not oppose the overall plan for a quick divorce.

Kim Kardashian was determined to end the marriage
Kim filed for divorce in February 2021 for West, the father of his four children, after six years of marriage. Last month, Kim claimed her estranged husband was causing “emotional distress” with her “constant attacks” on social media. Court documents
“While I wished our marriage to be successful, I realized there was no way to repair our marriage,” she said. “Kanye doesn’t agree, but at least it seems that even if he didn’t agree, he realized that I wanted to end our marriage,” she said.
On February 25, Ye disputed Kim‘s claims about the social media outbursts, dismissing them as “double rumors.” West’s former lawyer also filed paperwork suggesting the couple might object to the prenatal party.
The hearing came just hours after Ye fired his third lawyer and hired Samantha Spector, who represented Nicole Young in a $100 million divorce settlement with Dr. Dre. Kim’s lawyer is Dre’s lawyer, Laura Wasser.
