Kodak Black Challenges Jay-Z To A ‘Verzuz’
Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter ignited a storm of ideas late last year when he talked about his potential to attend a Verzuz event. The 52-year-old Roc Nation founder believes he is invincible in this forum. And everyone‘s looking to throw Verzuz right now.
“No one can stand on that stage with me. I‘m not going to lie to you. With all due respect. Everyone‘s amazing and they‘ve done what they‘ve done. No one is standing on that stage with me,” Jay-Z said during a Twitter Spaces session.
Now, a 24-year-old rapper has begun a direct challenge to Jay-Z for a hit-and-go battle. Florida-raised rhyming Kodak Black posted on Twitter to lay out his conditions to defy the Brooklyn native.
“I‘ll do a [Verzuz with] Jay-Z. 😈 ‘IF‘ he [wins,] he [gets] 15 % of my catalog! I win, he [makes] me Vice President of Roc Nation 🤷 ♂️,” posted Kodak Black on Monday night.
