Lil Baby is making fun of a triumphant turn.
Lil Baby, whom Complex called the best rapper of 2020, had shared with his followers on Instagram and Twitter with some cryptic messages about what looked like potential new music, and now seems to be hoping that title will reappear for 2022.

“It’s Gone Be A Nastyyyyy Summer,” Baby wrote on Monday morning, adding via additional tweets that it’s “my turn again” and that he plans to “drop a video every few weeks until [exploding head emojis].”

The emojis weren’t all, as Baby also went to his Instagram Stories to share a photo of himself counting money with the caption “This summer mines.”

Lil Baby Breaks His Silence
Of course, we should have understood this as baby 2020 remained completely silent after launching My Turn. Last year, he collaborated with Lil Durk on the album The Voice of the Heroes and connected with Nicki Minaj for her last two singles, “Do We Have A Problem?” and “Bussin“. The first debut debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Just last week, Baby tweeted that his album was “almost over” and adding new music. While nothing else is known about Baby’s upcoming effort, there are some festival sets approaching quickly, as at the Dreamville Festival at the peak of April, so fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of some new tracks. After Billboard announced the headlines on Wednesday (January 12), the official Goldenvoice poster confirmed that Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Ye presided over every day, while Sweden‘s House Mafia would “return to the event” on an undisclosed day.
Other line-ups from the cast include Phoebe Bridgers, Lil Baby, Big Sean and Daniel Caesar, who will perform alongside Friday headliner Harry Styles; Megan Thee Stallion, 21 Savage, Anitta and Giveon joined Saturday headliner Billie Eilish; And Doja Cat, Run the Jewels, Karol G, Maggie Rogers and Ari Lennox will play alongside headliner Ye on Sunday.
Ye, formerly Kanye West, was the first headliner to return and exit the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. For the excellent SoCal festival, which previously made headlines in 2011. This year‘s back-to-back weekends continue until April 15-17 and April 22-24.
