Lil Wayne Denied Entry Into U.K. Over Past Criminal Record

Lil Wayne had to cancel the appearance of an overseas festival after being denied entry to the UK.

The young mercenary rapper was scheduled to perform at the Strawberries & Creem Festival on Saturday, June 18, but the festival organizers denied entry “at the last minute” by the Home Office, festival organizers said Wednesday.

“We are very sorry to inform you that due to extreme circumstances beyond our control or influence, Lil Wayne was unable to perform at the festival on Saturday, June 18,” he said in a statement from Strawberries & Creem. “Lil Wayne’s entry into the UK was denied directly by the Home Office in a last-minute decision. We are deeply disappointed by this sudden and negative decision.”

An Home Office spokesman told Rolling Stone that “any person sentenced to 12 months or more in custody should have his application denied.”

The statement appears to refer to Wayne’s arrest on gun charges in 2007. He was sentenced to one year in prison, but was released after eight months due to his good behavior.

Strawberries & Creem would be Wayne’s first performance in the UK in 14 years. Ludacris will fill his place on Saturday. “Since there has been no explanation from Lil Wayne, we would like to apologize to everyone who came to watch him,” the festival said. “We look forward to welcoming Ludacris to S&Cs instead.”

This is the latest festival Wayne had to cancel. Just last weekend, he left the Governors Ball in New York City due to a “flight outage” and was replaced by A$AP Ferg.

Lil Wayne Blasts Mark Cuban: ‘I WILL PISS IN YA MOUTH’

Lil Wayne has reached the top.

The Young Money rapper’s beef with Dallas Mavericks owner reached new heights Monday when he told him, “I’m going to pee in your mouth f’n.”

It all started after Weezy, who was friends with Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul, called Mavericks star Luka Dončić “ho” on Twitter during the team’s 4th game against the Suns.

On Sunday, Cuban had the final laugh after the Mavericks beat the Suns 123-90 in Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals. Following the explosion, he responded by trolling Wayne from Tha Carter V’s “Uproar” in his own words.

“It’s a shit show, put you in the front row,” he tweeted, prompting Wayne’s 7th birthday. Along with a photo of him sitting on the sidelines during the match.
