Lizzo ‘s “About Damn Time” was one of the biggest hits of recent months. She got everyone excited at the 2022 BET Awards on Sunday night, June 26.

Lizzo enthusiastically kicked off the awards ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. She rocked her disco-ball pantsuit. She mesmerized the audience with her flawless vocals. She took action after the United States Supreme Court ruling on the right to abortion on Friday, June 24.

On Friday, June 24, the United States Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decided to dismiss the case. As a result of the decision, the expected 23 states will have taken action by making abortion illegal almost immediately.

The “Grrrls” rapper is gearing up to tour in support of his album Special, which will be released this fall. It also pledged to donate $500,000 from profits to the Planned Parenthood and the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF). She is a very generous singer.

Abortion will now be outlawed in at least 16 states in the US. According to CNN, at least 21 states already have laws or constitutional amendments in place to ban abortion.
