Lizzo Will Be Both Host and Musical Guest on SNL
Lizzo will appear again on Saturday Night Live. The rapper will be on NBC’s late-night sketch comedy show this weekend.
SNL has announced Lizzo as both the host and musical guest of the upcoming edition of the show. The April 16 episode featuring the song “Rumors” will premiere at 11:30 PM ET/08:30 PT.
“I’m in NYC about to host & perform on SNL… This ain’t even [a] bucket list… This is beyond my dreams. I’m shaking 🥺,” tweeted the Detroit-born artist
This season of SNL will also feature star names such as Young Thug, Saweetie, Gunna, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish. Previously there were Kim Kardashian, Jonathan Majors, Paul Rudd, Zoë Kravitz and Jerrod Carmichael.
Lizzo sang her hit singles “Truth Hurts” and “Good As Hell” on Saturday Night Live in 2020. Two of these songs are on the platinum-certified, Grammy-winning album Cuz I Love You.

Lizzo released “Rumors” with Cardi B last year. This song peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. It earned a Gold certification from the RIAA.

While attending “The Late Late Show” with James Corden, Lizzo showed fans a presentation for her upcoming song “About Damn Time”.
James Corden asked Lizzo who she went to to get honest feedback.
“My friends. They’ll tell me. They’ll be like, ‘This ain’t it girl.’ Or once they start twerking, I’m like, ‘This is it,’” she replied. “And then, I play it for my mom. But she is last to hear it because she is a Virgo woman and she’s a harsh critic… but she cried, she loved it.”
