Nicki Minaj Reacts To Earning Diamond Certification For ‘Super Bass’
Nicki Minaj has just updated her official Instagram account to react to earning a diamond certification for her massive hit Super Bass.
Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian-born rapper, singer, and songwriter who achieved international success after sharing her mixtapes 2007’s Playtime Is Over, 2008’s Sucka Free, and 2009’s Beam Me Up Scotty.
Debuted in 2010 with her triple-platinum album Pink Friday, Nicki Minaj is one of the best-selling female artists in rap community. As of November 2021, Minaj sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
One of those her successes was her top-five single Super Bass, which was taken from her debut solo album, Pink Friday. The single peaked at number three on the Hot 100. Just after Minaj released the song, it was pinned as the highest-charting solo song by a female rapper since 2002.
However, recently, it was announced by RIAA that Nicki Minaj‘s Super Bass certified 10x platinum, which means diamond. After the announcement, Minaj took to her Instagram to share her feelings about earning diamond for Super Bass.
At first, the rap queen thanked people who contributed to the song’s undeniable success, including Taylor Swift, Sofia Grace, Ester Dean and Ellen Degeneres.

“#SuperBassDiamond Thank you for over a decade of support,” Nicki wrote in her message. “#Barbz (special thx to Ester Dean, Kane, Juice, Taylor Swift, Sofia Grace & Rosie, Ellen, Young Money/Cash Money & Republic.”
Nicki Minaj Says It’s Her Fans’ Success
In the continuation of her words, Minaj expressed her gratitude for her fans. According to her, it was her fans’ success.
“This one was released b4 the streaming era, so millions of fans actually purchased the song,” Minaj adds.
“I’m so grateful for you guys. Sending love & blessings your way.”
In the comment section of her post, people celebrated her because of her success.
Back on November 15, Nicki Minaj had earned a top award for best hip-hop at MTV’s European Music Awards 2021. To thank people, she had made a live stream from Budapest, Hungary.
“Thank you #MTV EMA’s and thank you to the undefeated, incomparable, icoNIC #Barbz,” she said on her Instagram caption. “Love youuuuuuuuuuuu 4Life.”
