Nicki Minaj Responds Remy
Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma‘s spat is back in the spotlight.
Rap rivals changed disses in 2017, but in recent years have avoided talking about each other. On “Drink Champs” this week, Remy revisits her feud with Minaj!
In February 2017, Remy released “shETHER,” a seven-minute diss aimed at Nicki Minaj after it was revealed that Nicki had subliminal shots of Remy on songs such as Jason Derulo‘s “Swalla” and Gucci Mane’s “Make Love.”
When asked by the N.O.R.E. if he ever considered Nicki a “friend,” Remy said, “Friend is a very strong word. We had conversations, we had regular conversations.”
But he admits that the beef caught him off guard because he claims they’ve spoken before and agreed not to come after each other.
“I never saw that one coming because I felt like we had a conversation because I’ve been in this predicament before, where I was the girl just coming in,” she said. “I just felt like anything I say, people are gonna say I’m talking about her, anything she say, people are gonna say she’s talking about me, so let’s make an agreement that we never talk about each other.”

According to Remy, things turned around after Nicki’s comments about her. “Some of the things that bounced behind the scenes, the messages I saw, it was something I knew wasn’t made up and I just said “no.””
“He must be misunderstanding what she saying to him. Did he say? ‘This is you telling her that?’” said Nicki. “For the record, I’ve never had this conversation with her or anyone.”
She then turned her attention back to her new song with Fivio Foreign, “We Go Up,” which dropped earlier today. “So y’all like that new song ‘We Go Up’ ft @fivioforeign_8fs ????” she asked.
