Pusha T Weighs In On Kanye West And Kid Cudi’s Fallout

Pusha T found herself trapped in the middle of Kanye West and Kid Cudi‘s feud.

On Friday, Pusha released his new album, It’s Almost Dry, “Rock N Roll,” in collaboration with Cudi and Ye.

Before the song’s release, Cudi announced it would be his last collaboration with Ye amid their alienated relationship.

“Hey! That’s why I know some of you have heard the song I got at Pusha T . I did this song a year ago when Kanye was still cool. I’m not cool with that guy,” he tweeted.

However, due to his friendship with Pusha, he agreed to clean up the song. “He’s not my friend, and I just cleaned up the song for Pusha cuz, this is my man. This is the last song you’re going to hear me on w Kanye.”

In an interview with Vulture, Pusha was asked about the feud between his friends.

“It fu**ing sucks. You know Cudi is my fu**ing brother to the end,” he said. “Just navigating these relationships, this brotherhood, the arguing … it gets public. It’s one thing for us to argue. We all argue — that’s not a problem. It gets out there, whether it’s Ye bickering first, or Cudi coming back with what he says. It’s super-fu**ed up.”

Pusha recalled that there was “so much great energy” when they were in the studio making the record, which samples Beyoncé’s “1+1.”

“The day we made this record, everybody was so fu**ing happy. Ye’s chopping the Beyoncé sample,” he said. “Cudi happens to come in that day. We see each other, and I hadn’t seen him in a while. He’s like, ‘I gotta get on a record. Are you crazy?’ Cudi did, like, three or four different references. Beyoncé cleared the sample. There was so much great energy around the making of that record.”

Ye and Cudi’s relationship soured after Ye said Cudi wouldn’t be on DONDA 2 because of his friendship with Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend, Pete Davidson. Cudi fired back by calling Ye a “dinosaur.”

However, Pusha is grateful that Cudi cleared the song despite his bad blood with Ye. “Cudi really doubling down on this being the last time we’re going to hear them two together,” he said. “He’s a super-convicted motherfu**er. So I appreciate him clearing it up. He did what he did for his bro, and I love him for that.”
