Roddy Ricch Arrested On Gun Charges
Roddy Ricch was arrested on gun charges just hours before he prepared to perform at the Governors Ball in Queens, New York, on Saturday.
The “Box” rapper and two other men were on their way to the festival when police stopped their vehicle at a security checkpoint around 6:30 p.m..m. After searching the car, police found a loaded firearm, nine rounds of ammunition and a large capacity magazine, TMZ reported.
Roddy, whose real name is Rodrick Moore, and his two associates, driver Carlos Collins and bodyguard Michael Figueroa, have been charged with four crimes, including criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a large-capacity ammunition feeding device, and illegal possession of that device.
Fans have been informed that Roddy will not perform 45 minutes after the scheduled 18:30 .m. slot while he is not performing on stage. Amid rumours of his arrest, the festival said: “Unfortunately Roddy Ricch is no longer performing today.”

As of Sunday morning, Roddy is in custody at Queens Central Booking and awaiting an investigation into the charges.
The Governors’ Ball is grappling with problems. Migos left earlier this week and was supposed to replace Lil Wayne as a headliner in the group’s place, but cancelled just before Friday night’s set-off due to a “flight outage”. A$AP Ferg performed instead.
Roddy Ricch Declares His Support for Gunna
Gunna remains behind bars in the wake of the Roddy Ricch indictment, but her friends have not forgotten him.
On Friday, Roddy Rinch often posted on social media to voice his support for the person he works with.
“Freedom @gunna. We miss you here, champion,” Roddy wrote in an Instagram Story, noting that his mother was also praying for him. Roddy was scheduled to perform with Gunna at a show in Ontario, California on Saturday night, but the show was canceled after Gunna’s arrest.
