Roddy Ricch is Free
The rapper was released from custody Sunday afternoon, 24 hours after being arrested on gun charges prior to his performance in the Governors Ball.
Roddy and two friends stopped by police vehicles at a security checkpoint on their way to the festival. After searching the car, police reportedly found a loaded firearm, nine rounds of ammunition and a large capacity magazine.
Roddy, along with his driver, Carlos Collins, and his bodyguard, Michael Figueroa, have been charged with four counts, including criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a large-capacity ammunition feeding device, and illegal possession of that device.
On Sunday afternoon, Roddy was released from custody and all charges against him and Collins were dropped. According to the New York Daily News, Figueroa was charged with charges in Queens Criminal Court.

Shortly after his release, he returned to the stage at Hot 97’s Summer Jam at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where he led the crowd with an anti-police chant. “I need everyone to say ‘F**k NYPD,'” he told the crowd, reiterating his feelings.
Roddy Ricch Declares His Support for Gunna
Gunna remains behind bars in the wake of the Roddy Ricch indictment, but her friends have not forgotten him.
On Friday, Roddy Rinch often posted on social media to voice his support for the person he works with.
“Freedom @gunna. We miss you here, champion,” Roddy wrote in an Instagram Story, noting that his mother was also praying for him. Roddy was scheduled to perform with Gunna at a show in Ontario, California on Saturday night, but the show was canceled after Gunna’s arrest.
Last week, a judge in Fulton County Superior Court denied the “pushin P” rapper bond and set the trial date for January 2023. Gunna, along with Young Thug, was named in an 88-page indictment against dozens of members of Young Slime Life.
