Saweetie Eyes Rihanna Collaboration
Saweetie Rihanna is set to collaborate. While promoting her new single “Closer” on Power 106, the Icy Queen was asked to share her dream collaboration with whom and did not hesitate to name Rihanna.
“Of course,” she said. It’s at the top of my wish list,” she said of the pop icon. However, since the expectant mother has other priorities these days, a collaboration may not happen anytime soon. “To be honest, she’s pregnant right now,” Saweetie said.
Saweetie, who starred in the 2018 Super Bowl commercial for Rihanna‘s Fenty Beauty, has previously shared her admiration for Riri. She told Complex.
“When I think of pioneers and black girls, I think of Rihanna,” she said. “I think it’s a great plan and it shows us what’s possible and what we can do,” she said.
While collaborating with a Rihanna, Saweetie recently appeared on “Closer” with H.E.R. on her debut album Pretty Bitch Music.
Sawetiee is a big Rihanna fan
“Honestly, I was nervous to send it to her,” she said of working with the Oscar-winning songstress. “I feel like that song, that sound is a different sound for the both of us. So the fact that we both made magic on a new sound that’s gonna evolve us as artists, it was a special thing for me.”

She plans to share “a more intimate, vulnerable side of Saweetie” on the album, which is still awaiting release date.
Saweetie and Cher Together for MAC Cosmetics
Saweetie continues to add new ones to its successful collaborations. It made its brand deal with the launch of MAC Cosmetics’ Challenge Accepted campaign, which brought Saweetie together with music icon Cher on Tuesday, January 4th.
A MAC ambassador, Saweetie and Cher are also putting their MAC Cosmetics products to the test before their musical collaboration is revealed. They are doing their best thanks to the duo MAC, who encourages their fans to overcome all the challenges life throws at them.
“[It] means challenging a status quo, and I try to do that every day with my business, with my music, with the message I give out to the world,” Saweetie told WWD.
