Snootie Wild Shot Dead In Houston
Memphis rapper Snootie Wild was shot in the neck on Saturday, February 26. A day later, he was left to die in a ditch.
According to ABC13, police arrived at the scene at 2 am local time on Friday, February 25. Snootie was found to be fighting for his life after receiving a gunshot wound. He received CPR at the scene and was transported to a nearby hospital. Here the doctors gave him half a chance to live.
Some things came to light in a post shared on his official Instagram account. The rapper’s hands were clasped. His tattoo was visible. Behind him was the Team YAyo emblem.
“Gone in body, but your NAME & LEGACY will live forever!” the caption read. “#TeamYayo4Life.”
Many rappers prayed for Snootie’s well-being and wished him success. Also DJ Paul from Three 6 Mafia posted a message on Instagram for the rapper, describing their time when they made music together and their good relationship.

“Dammm bro!!!! Pray for the M-Town brother @snootiewild Shot & In Critical,” he wrote. Mannn Snootie My Nikka, We Made Some Bump Together & He Always Kept It Real With Me… Even When He Wasn’t Suppose 2. #PrayforSnootieWild #memphis Legend.”

About the Homicide Rise in Houston After Snootie Wild ‘s Death
Houston ranked second in the country with 57 homicides, according to a report from KPRC2 published earlier this month. The 57 deaths were up 54 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
Also Snootie’s death was another blow to the Memphis Hip Hop scene. In November 2021, Young Dolph was killed.
While rumors of his death were shaking social media, on Friday, February 25, the family made a statement on their official Instagram account.
“Snootie IS NOT DEAD!” reader. “But she’s fighting for her life. Out of respect for the family, please refrain from sharing anything that isn’t communicated through his official accounts. Thank you.”
Unfortunately, the latest news has unfortunately been that the rapper has passed away.
