The Weeknd, Doja Cat Lead Billboard Music Awards Finalists

The Weeknd was the top finalist for the 2022 Billboard Music Awards!

This year, the XO singer led in 17 categories, the largest of any artist, including Best Artist, Best Male Artist and Top 100 Artists. Her collaboration with Ariana Grande, “Save Your Tears (Remix)“, won six awards.

Last year, he received 10 awards, including Best Artist and Hottest 100 Artists, bringing the total of his career to 19.

Doja Cat, fresh from her first Grammy win, received 14 nominations, including Best Artist, Best Female Artist and The Hottest 100 Songs. Her single “Kiss Me More” with SZA was promoted to Top Hot 100 Song and Top Collaboration. It’s a great achievement.

Justin Bieber isn’t far behind, with 13 nods, including Best Male Artist for “Stay,” Best Hot 100 Artists and Best Streaming Song for The Kid LAROI.

Kanye West was also a finalist for 13 awards in the gospel, Christian and rap categories. DONDA is ready for Top Rap Album, Top Gospel Album and Top Christian Album.

Last year’s Artist of the Decade Drake received 10 this year, including Best Artist, Hottest 100 Artists and Best Rap Artist.

The 2022 Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock on Sunday, May 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8.m p.m.
