The Weeknd Gunna More & New Projects This Week
The Weeknd Gunna and more. We entered the new year a few days ago and the big releases have already started. This week, there‘s an album from a Canadian Crooner known to have smashed charts, a former Brooklyn rap veteran with an indisputable drop.

The Weeknd
The Weeknd has released its latest album Dawn FM. He appeared on the 16-track album. Tyler The Creator, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, Oneohtrix Point Never and actor Jim Carrey are among them. To announce LP‘s guest features, Abel unveiled a cinematic trailer along with creative and elderly album artworks that showed him in his old age. The album‘s arrival was accompanied by a live global stream via the Amazon Music app and on Amazon Music‘s Twitch channel. The Weeknd‘s last album, After Hours, was released in 2020.

Gunna
Gunna started 2022 with new music. Following the release of wunna, a career-record album for Young Stoner Life Records, in 2021, Gunna released the fourth and final installment of the Drop Season series: DS4EVER. The LP has collaborated with a number of star-studded people, including Drake, Young Thug, Future, 21 Savage, R&B singer Chloe Bailey, with whom she has been seen multiple times recently, and much more. DS4 comes days after Gunna hinted at a diss track directed at Freddie Gibbs on the album. Earlier this week, as you know, we‘ve written this story before;
“Freddie Gibbs will be the biggest moment of his career when my album drops,” he tweeted, firing back and forth on Twitter. Of course, a Twitter spat arose, but all this came about because Gibbs called Gunna an informant after it was revealed on a CNN show in 2019 that people were confusing him with a Crime Stoppers episode.

Papoose
Papoose completed its consecutive monthly release year in December. As promised to his fans, Pap said he would release an album every month, and he did. The album series was the big close to Papoose‘s rap career, and in February last year he announced he would retire to focus on his family and other work. Pap‘s new album isn‘t available on streaming platforms. Instead, you can buy it directly from him via the Cash App.
