The Weeknd ‘s ‘The Idol’ Will Make Fans Wait A Little Bit
Sam Levinson, the mastermind of The Weeknd and Euphoria, is working on a new HBO show called The Idol. But fans will have to wait.
On Monday, April 25, Variety announced that the Toronto singer’s new show has decided to take a new direction. The show will go through an overhaul. HBO made a press release about it. There will be updates to the cast and production team.
“The Idol’s creative team continues to build, refine, and evolve their vision for the show and they have aligned on a new creative direction,” HBO said in the statement. “The production will be adjusting its cast and crew accordingly to best serve this new approach to the series. We look forward to sharing more information soon.”
The story of the project was as follows. It follows the leader of a time cult who develops a romantic but difficult relationship with a promising pop star.

The project stars Lily Rose-Depp, Troye Sivan, Suzanna Son and Steve Zissis. Six episodes were filmed. There have been some changes in the cast. It is not yet clear who left.
Remix Bundle Coming From The Weeknd and ‘Mon Frère’ Kaytranada
The Weeknd ‘s “Out of Time” is being revamped. The famous star teamed up with Canadian producer Kaytranada for the remix package of Dawn FM single “Out of Time” released on Friday, April 22.
This remix pack also includes three different versions of “Out of Time”. The Weeknd made the announcement on Instagram.
“Out of time remix avec mon frère @kaytranada,” The Weeknd announced on Instagram, posting a video of him singing along to the remix in what looks like a club next to Kaytranada, who mans the turntables. “Out now.”
“My OUT OF TIME remix is out now,” wrote Kaytranada, posting photos from the same night with The Weekend. “Thank u Abel for letting me freak it.”
Dawn FM’s third single, “Out of Time”, became a hit. Earlier this month, an uplifting music video was also released.
