Travis Scott Comes With New Music
The wait for the new Travis Scott soundtrack is over. Fans are looking forward to it. The rapper made an exciting announcement. As the 2021 Astroworld Festival kicks off tomorrow, the “Franchise” rapper shared an exciting announcement on social media earlier this morning.
Scott wrote “FUCK IT LETS START IT UP NEW MUSIC AT MIDNIGHT” in his post. And in the IG post “The True Dystopia is here!” He portrayed himself as a sharp-tongued 90s-style goblin at the time of writing.

In October, after Scott confirmed that his upcoming album is called Utopia, fans first began to think we’d be blessed with a mixtape called Dystopia. Similar to when he left Days Before Rodeo as a prequel to Rodeo, it was believed that Travis would make it easier to lure fans into the world of Utopia with a mixtape.
There’s been no confirmation from Scott or anyone else in his camp that a mixtape is on the way, but with this Instagram announcement and Astroworld launching in less than 24 hours, it’s not crazy to think Travis might have something special. This exciting situation has already begun to turn into reality. However, we can say that it is useful to be cautious with all the speculations. While a new mixtape makes sense and is already a precedent for Travis Scott’s prequel tapes, that “new music” might just be a new single or a double song EP.
Some of Scott’s most dedicated hip-hop fans will certainly be happy with anything new from the Cactus Jack leaders, but they’ve also been patiently waiting for a new project for over three years. Now is the time to be happy for them. Astroworld was released in August 2018, and aside from side projects and feature-length verses, nothing full-length has yet been heard from the Owl Pharaoh rapper. We can hear something new from Travis Scott at any time, so we continue to keep the excitement at its peak.
Travis hinted at the concept of dystopia in an interview with CR Fashion Book. Speaking to the magazine, Travis; “You think utopia is a society where everything is good: health, buildings, architecture–nah,” he told the magazine. “It’s just about proper lines of communication. Because that’s the dystopian shit we’re in right now. It’s all hate, hate, hate, and all of that is drawn from what? Miscommunication, non-communication, non-understandable communication, ignorance to communication.”
