Travis Scott Makes Comeback
Travis Scott is back. Nearly five months after the Astroworld Festival tragedy, Travis’ music career begins again.
He appeared on Southside and Future’s “Hold That Heat” for her first move that didn’t include appearing in Kanye West’s unofficial Donda 2. This move took place on Friday, April 22.
“Three hunnid days and it still ain’t no sleep/Inside and outside, it was ninety degrees/Now it’s big tables with lot of us seat/Mafia shit, G, you gotta compete,” he raps.
Also on Friday came a coincidental image directed by Philip Andelman. The clip features a haunted motel filled with a stripper pole and laser beams. On the other hand, Travis Scott tames a wild alligator.
“Hold That Heat” is also expected to arrive on Southside’s 808Mafia compilation project at a later date.
Travis’s UTOPIA LP is coming this year.
Travis Scott Faces Accusations of Violating Astroworld Festival Lawsuits Gag Order
Travis Scott is facing more potential legal backlash.
Lawyers representing some of the victims injured and killed at Scott’s Astroworld Festival in November accuse him of violating a prank order in relation to their case, the Associated Press reported.
After Scott announced the Project HEAL initiative this month and donated $5 million to launch it, lawyers had argued it could help his reputation and influence potential jurors before trials begin, but that doesn’t seem to change.
Bob Hilliard, an attorney representing the family of 9-year-old Astroworld Fest victim Ezra Blount. told State District Judge Kristen Hawkins that Scott had discussed concert security.
He said it “affects and destroys the power of your order.”
On the other hand Hawkins, who oversees about 500 cases. had previously asked them not to make their case public to influence a potential jury.
“My team and I created Project HEAL to take much needed action towards. supporting real solutions that make all events the safest spaces they can possibly be,” Scott wrote of his project upon its reveal. “I will always honor the victims of the Astroworld tragedy who remain in my heart forever.”
